Synova partners with netIP

Date

October 2026

Synova Fund V LP (“Synova” or the “Fund”) is delighted to announce that it has agreed to acquire netIP A/S (“netIP” or the “Company”), Denmark’s leading end-to-end technology partner to small and medium-sized businesses.

Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Thisted, netIP serves c.2,700 Danish SMEs through more than 270 employees across 11 locations. The Company provides an integrated suite of managed IT, cloud, cybersecurity and digital infrastructure services, acting as the outsourced technology partner to its customers.

netIP’s differentiated “local-for-local” model combines deeply embedded customer relationships with national scale, specialist expertise and a central technology platform. This gives customers access to a broad range of capabilities while preserving the proximity, responsiveness and accountability of a local partner. These long-standing relationships are reflected in strong customer retention with NRR well in excess of 100%.

The model has delivered an exceptional track record. netIP has grown in every year since 2007, achieved sustained double-digit organic growth and built market-leading levels of customer and employee satisfaction. In September, the Company announced its third consecutive record year, with EBITDA increasing by 18% in the year to 30 June 2026.

As cybersecurity, cloud and AI become increasingly business-critical for SMEs, netIP is exceptionally well positioned to continue this growth. Synova will support an acceleration of investment in specialist talent, technology and commercial capabilities, with a particular focus on further developing netIP’s cybersecurity, cloud, data, automation and AI capabilities and bringing these solutions to a broader base of SME customers.

Alongside this investment in organic growth, Synova will support a focused acquisition strategy. netIP has already demonstrated a strong ability to acquire and integrate regional technology businesses while retaining their local talent, customer relationships and culture. Together, Synova and management aim to accelerate this proven strategy.

netIP’s experienced leadership team and a broad group of employee shareholders will invest alongside Synova, maintaining the strong alignment and distinctive ownership culture that have underpinned the Company’s success.

Brian Vesterbæk and Joakim Halvorsen, Co-CEOs of netIP, commented:

Synova understood from the outset that our success is rooted in our people, our proximity to customers and the trust we build over many years. Our growth has never been about scale for its own sake. It has been about giving customers access to broader expertise and stronger capabilities while preserving the local relationships and accountability that make netIP different.

Technology is becoming both more powerful and more complex for SMEs. Cybersecurity is now a board-level priority, while AI and automation have the potential to fundamentally change how our customers operate. We see a significant opportunity to help SMEs navigate that change and turn new technology into tangible business value. Synova shares that ambition and brings the experience and resources to help us invest and move faster. We are incredibly excited about what we can build together.

Oliver Bevan, Partner at Synova, commented:

European SMEs are increasingly being asked to manage enterprise-grade technology challenges without enterprise-scale IT departments. netIP solves that problem exceptionally well, combining the intimacy and accountability of a local partner with the expertise, breadth and infrastructure of a national platform.

The result is a rare business: one with exceptional customer loyalty, sustained organic growth, a deeply embedded position within its customers and an outstanding people-led culture. Brian, Joakim, Birgitte and the wider netIP team have built one of the highest-quality technology services platforms we have encountered.

Completion of the transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals.
